I am a mosaic and mixed media artist living and working in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I grew up sk8ing, drawing, snowboarding, and playing music. I've always been on the lookout for how I could do something different or express myself in a new or better way. I dropped out of the Art Institute of Colorado to pursue the sort of art that is organic and self-taught. This led me back home to New Mexico, the birthplace of my artistic soul. Here, creativity is the blood coursing through my veins. It oozes out of me like sap from a tree as I piece together symbols, color, shape, and form.

After experimenting with mannequin parts, electronics, paint, and found objects, I stumbled into the world of stained-glass mosaic. Erin Adam's Design - a glass mosaic tile company - hired me to cut and color match glass. I did this for 7 years. Slowly I began taking scrap glass home and incorporating mosaic into my creations. Soon it took on a life of its own becoming the primary medium in which I worked. My previous mediums still find their way into my work, swirling together worlds, creating a mosaic with a story deeper than the cuts, grinds, and grout lines. Found objects speak to me of new beginnings, past travels, and parts of future projects as they find themselves incorporated into worlds spun into existence by chaos, magic, imagination, and time.

Life is a puzzle; we find our pieces along the way. Art challenges us to think about this. Whether my canvas is flat, sculptured, or a pre-existing glass form, I find my pieces along the way. What starts as an idea, often transmogrifies into new forms and colors, as shapes shift and change in the sea of glass. As in life, we change and adapt to our surroundings, much like my mosaics - they are alive in my eyes. Colors and shapes intermingle and move about creating the illusion of form and life where once were mere objects in space without the influences of the universe.

Through the ether of inspiration from found objects, nature, and tantalizing glass colors, I channel creativity and fine craft together with the hope to move others as their eyes dive into the light reflecting off each meticulously cut piece, reflecting different colors, giving rise to being present in that moment as their emotions stir across my mosaics, dancing with the movement of shimmering tiles, exploring every dynamic angle, and finding new experiences every time encountering my creations.
