M Kyle Hollingsworth is an artist living and working in Placitas, New Mexico. She is primarily known for her Circular Worlds series featuring birds, insects, and abstract shapes, celebrating nature and exploring the world between what we see and what we feel.

Hollingsworth began her art practice at the Art Institute of Atlanta. She moved to Los Angeles in 1994 where she balanced her creative gifts between graphic design, illustration and fine art. After a career that culminated in a position as a Sr. Creative Director, she is now a full-time artist. Her work is collected locally and internationally and she has won multiple awards for her work, including the President’s award, the Society of Illustrators LA award, and most recently first place in the New Mexico State fair fine art exhibit.

Kyle shares a creative home with her husband and musical partner, and their two pups, Foggy and Scout. The expansive views and wildlife of New Mexico inspire her work and bring a sense of spaciousness and connection to nature to their lives.

Artist Statement

I paint what I think is beautiful and mysterious. A dragonfly, a flower, birds. A lover of detail, pattern, and texture, I paint in layers, using acrylic, inks, oil, pastel, hand-made papers and wax. Working with a variety of mediums lets me explore and discover new possibilities. My signature elements of circles and ovals are simply the way I see and feel energy around me; the way it dances. I strive to capture that in my work, and to transmute all that I hold - beauty, pain, joy, and love - into each work.
