Artist Statement

My paintings are abstract expressionist works that explore spiritual inferences through color, form, and gesture. My practice is informed by the work of Cézanne, Willem de Kooning, Helen Frankenthaler, and Giorgio Morandi. Music is also central to my process; I draw inspiration from Bach, Beethoven, Rachmaninoff, Grieg, Satie, and Hovhaness.
