Artist Statement
As a painter and sculptor I have found many mediums that support my ideas and allow me to express myself clearly and with innovation.
My work has been described as organic, ethnic, contemporary and sometimes whimsical. I search for subjects and components that will intrigue the viewer, causing him to look just a bit closer or think a little longer about the piece and its creation, whether it is a painting or a sculpture, abstract or realism. I use various styles to achieve my interpretation of a particular subject, mood or color.
College and art training have given me the knowledge I need to develop my expression with a high regard to professionalism though use of the medium and maturity of interpretation. As my art continues to evolve and my craftsmanship is honed I am constantly amazed at the joy art has brought to my life and to those who have become my collectors.
