Larry Smith knew from an early age that he wanted to be an artist. He obtained a Master’s degree in Art from the University of New Mexico. He has been in numerous shows and exhibitions over the last 55 years with his first show in high school. Larry is an avid photographer and painter using paper, canvas and digital media.
Artist Statement
The basis of my work centers on the concept of change. The emotions to express change and the relationship of change, one to another, are expressed in the images I produce. The subtle, yet dynamic combinations of the elements of line, color, shape and texture, produce unique personal expressions of memories and other events in my life.
