With a background in theatre costume design, advertising/marketing, special events and promotions, I made the decision to turn my attention full-time to creating fine art. I have never looked back!
My work is a culmination of the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual aspects I experience at a particular time. Starting with random marks and strokes, I add many layers of colour to allow unexpected images to appear. As I tap into my intuition, the paint ‘tells’ me what it wants to become.
My work has been shown and received numerous awards in local and national exhibitions. I have been a member of the national Society of Layerists in Multi-Media since 2007 for which I have served as SW Regional Coordinator 2008-18, Board Member 2013-18, and currently as President, 2018-23. My work has been represented in Albuquerque, NM by the Weyrich Gallery 2012-17 and Buffalo Design Gallery since 2017.
