Traditional Watercolor has been my passion for over 35 years, but I also explore other media such as creating water color paintings which I then cut into small strips and reassemble to create an abstract design very different from the original painting.
My educational background is in business, having owned and operated several businesses in New Mexico, including a gallery in Old Town, “Casa Manana”, a wholesale framing and supply business, and two Retail picture frame shops, “El Mirador” and “El Mirasol”.
My art training has been mostly in New Mexico with various teachers in the area plus a few nationally known artist-teachers. I have been in numerous exhibits – local, statewide, and national – and have won many awards.
I am a signature member of New Mexico Watercolor Society, a member of National League of American Pen Women, the Society of Layerists, the Albuquerque Artists Collaborative, and a member of Yucca Gallery for 30 years.
