Artist Statement
I have been a carpenter and solar builder since 1978, and have been painting landscape scenes for the past 25 years. I am a managing member and exhibiting artist at Matrix Fine Art in Albuquerque, and also exhibit at the Albuquerque Tortuga Gallery. In addition, I participated in the Albuquerque Art Showcase in August 2019.
One of my main inspirations is southern Utah which I have visited every year since 1985 to camp and hike in the canyon areas. I paint to extend and deepen my relationship with nature. Painting, for me, is a tangible conduit to the places I love. I prefer to spend my time with natural reality rather than social reality.
