Tatyana Komogorova (artist name Tatulli) was born in Moscow, Russia, and came to United States in 1991. She received her degrees first in Moscow State University and then in University of New Mexico. For the last 25 years, she worked in the areas of Information Technology and Government.

Tatulli's story as an artist story began when she had to stay home sick and saw an ad on Facebook about an Intuitive painting class with Swiss artist Elena Goubar. She signed up and found herself on another planet... forgetting everything, flying, dreaming, and living in the unbelievable happiness of oil painting and she has painted ever since.

Tatulli has participated in many local and regional exhibitions. One of her paintings "Crying Ice" was selected to be on display at national competition show Encantada exhibition at New Mexico State Fair in 2019. Her work received special recognition when she was invited to participate as the featured artist in the “Six of One” emerging artists of New Mexico exhibit in January 2020 for the Los Alamos Art Center at Fuller Lodge.

In November of 2020, Tatulli had a successful solo show “Exhilarating Flows” at the OT Circus Gallery in Albuquerque, and she was the featured artist in June of 2021 at the Matrix Fine Art Gallery.

Artist Statement

Art for Tatulli is happiness, which for her is the highest measure of life itself. She wonders why people ask “How old are you?”, instead of “How happy are you?” She believes that art, music, or poetry can bring happiness and harmony.

She uses oil and acrylic with palette knife in Alla Prima technic to create a fusion of real life and dreams. Tatulli expresses herself intuitively in the moment of extreme happiness. Most of her paintings are all about human feelings and desire to bring empathy to this cruel world. In her art, Tatulli explores human nature, the natural beauty of our world, and hidden trails of our subconscious. She believes artists and dreamers are one of a kind and follows the steps of Vincent Van Gogh, who once made a comment: “I dream of painting and then I paint my dream.”
