High mountains and indigenous cultures surrounded my childhood. Born in La Paz, Bolivia. I grew fond of the bright colors and geometrical patterns of textiles. My continued curiosity for new cultures, language and design led me to pursue a master’s degree in architecture at the University of New Mexico. I love to collaborate with different institutions to teach art, architecture and design to children and adults.
Experimentation has been my path for learning and over the years. I enjoy using geometrical shapes and patterns based on nature, yet my art remains primarily abstract. Some encompass mathematical elements, including continuous color gradation. I want my art pieces to move, sometimes creating compositions that change meanings depending on their orientation.
I’m a permanent member of Amapola Gallery and The Groove Art Space in NM. I participate in international exhibits and frequently donate artworks to help educational programs and health institutions.
