My painting style bridges fine art and fantasy with subjects ranging from atmospheric, impressionistic cityscapes to highly detailed steampunk and mythical realms. My creations spring forth and take shape almost daily while working in my studio. I am self-taught, beginning years ago with acrylics and now working primarily in oils on canvas and Masonite panels. I draw inspiration from life experiences and long-held memories, often reimagined through alternative worlds: ships flying over places that never were, or a cityscape seen just after a storm. My subjects include steampunk, fantasy, mythology, realistic places, and portraits. I may build a world in hyper-detail while leaving space for the viewer’s imagination. My aesthetic incorporates steampunk, art nouveau, art deco, Victorian, and swashbuckling influences, and I often create custom hand-painted frames to complement and enhance my paintings.

In 2014, I was named a “Local Treasure” by the Albuquerque Arts and Business Association (AABA). In 2025, I received “Best of Show” in Fine Arts at the New Mexico State Fair Fine Arts Show. In 2026, the City of Albuquerque purchased my painting Albuquerque 2023 for its Permanent Rotation Collection, with its first display scheduled for the mayor’s office. My work is held in private and permanent collections around the world.
