I have always been drawn to the elegant variety and harmony of nature. While my background is in physics, I did not initially pursue my artistic talents. It was only after moving to New Mexico — captivated by its breathtaking landscapes, magical Southwestern light, and serene atmosphere — that I felt compelled to begin creating art. This journey was inspired by my participation in a master class led by prominent artist Elena Goubar.

As an oil painter, I embrace the expressive power of the palette knife to bring my vision to life on canvas. My work reflects my deep connection to nature, the human spirit, and the beauty of life’s fleeting moments. I strive to evoke a sense of place, emotion, and atmosphere, inviting viewers to immerse themselves in the experience. My artistic process is influenced by the works of Nicholas Roerich, Alfred Sisley, and Georgia O’Keeffe. Through my paintings, I express my impressions of color and form, drawing inspiration from my travels, the mesmerizing movement of water, and the vibrant hues of New Mexico’s landscapes.

I work primarily with oils, embracing the rich potential of the palette knife to create layered, textured surfaces with bold, sculptural strokes. Most of my work is created in my studio, where I draw inspiration from my own sketches, photographs, or vivid mental images. At times, a fleeting impression resonates deeply, inspiring me to capture a particular scene, mood, or moment.

I am an active member of the Rio Grande Art Association (RGAA) and the Corrales Society of Artists. My work has been featured in numerous juried exhibitions across New Mexico, as well as in international shows, and is held in private collections.
