Artist Statement

The paintings I am exhibiting in this show for the NM Cancer Center are small, intimate pieces of blooms from my life and heart and in my imagination. Each one has to do with creativity, imagination, stories, places, and poetry. Although they are quite personal, it is my theory that we are all mostly the same in our truest desires for our existence. For me, the groupings of blooms or the single flower symbolizes our lives.

I tend to work in acrylics, charcoal and crayons in a semi-abstract manner. I am not attempting to describe nature, but the feelings I receive from it.
