I am an artist who creates inspiring works that makes you feel grounded, connected, and alive. I am the creator and designer of my unique style that has an inspiring energy that is used to create all of my paintings. I have created many things since I was a young girl but recently, on my journey to define my self-definition, I found part of my purpose of being. Yes, part. Even though life doesn’t seem to stop giving us challenges, I have humbly stomped on the face of the ‘victim maker’. So, because life continues to challenge us, I want to be accepting of other purposes that may yet come.

My self-taught “open impressionism” is styled with ‘fauvism’ and marinated with ‘abstraction’. It is designed to make you, the viewer, know that you have the strength that you didn’t know you have to be a survivor of life’s challenges. My hope is that the feeling in my soul travels to you and touches your heart, your being and gives you confidence, strength, and motivation to climb the food chain of life and find your true self. I first started painting to discover my own self-definition, a method of healing. Many times I've been asked what inspired me to use trees in my art work. The answer is simple. I put myself in each tree I paint, because as I started to define who I am, I knew that I want to be sturdy, strong, beautiful and confident. As a tree grows, it becomes just that, and just like every new branch that is 'brought to life', we also take a new path which brings new beauty and strength to our soul. As we confidently look from the inside, we need to believe that if we continue to nourish our foundation and make it strong and defined, it doesn't matter which way our branches grow, we can show beauty, not only to others, but to ourselves.

After 36 years of going through life blind, I started my own journey through life’s ‘crowded room’. When I started this journey, I wasn’t sure which way to go or how to find a compass or map. After about 4 years of wandering, I found someone who almost forced me to start owning my self-definition. I wasn’t looking for anyone but I met a man who already knew what his own definition was. I started to realize I didn’t know as much as I thought. I soon understood what true respect and love really was, not only for this man, now my husband, and our relationship, but equally important, for myself. After this, the rest of my self-definition fell into place a lot easier. To this day, I am lucky enough to still be inspired by this man and I am honored to call him my husband.

Inspiration comes from everywhere if we open our hearts. My goal as an artist is to convey strength, beauty and the joy of life through my art work and bring it to your home. For me, knowing that life’s challenges are not selective, my continuing inspiration comes from everywhere. I love to see an elderly couple holding hands, showing respect and love for each other after so many years. I see the future when a child’s curiosity turns into aspiration. The things my husband does daily to show his love for me. Even simple quotes in everyday places inspire me. But most currently, I am honored to hear stories of struggle and survival from those whom my work has touched. Hearing those stories, relating to them, touches my heart and helps me inspire those who are on their own journey to their self- awakening.

I have personal and corporate clients whose custom pieces have been sent all over the world, to include Central America and Africa. They have also been used in a ballet production through the Ballet Repertory Theatre. Custom pieces can be made to client’s specifications: size, color scheme and even, if you choose, the inspirational quote which accompanies all artwork. The quote is laminated and cut to 4” by 6” which is suitable for framing. Turnover for custom work is between one and two weeks and a digital copy will be shared for approval before delivery.

The canvas sides are painted so there is no need for the artwork to be framed and each has a polycrylic coating for protection. All art work is original and also is accompanied by a letter of authenticity and my personal signature on the front and back of the canvas. All images are protected, trademarked and under copyright protection.
