As a contemporary artist and painter, Nancy feels very blessed to be living in beautiful Taos, New Mexico. An avid hiker and outdoors enthusiast, the ambiance of this area stimulates and drives her creativity. She meanders through the forests and up to the tops of mountain peaks, absorbing the sounds and scents of Mother Earth. Nature is such an inspiration and comfort, and as a painter, she draws upon these experiences to inspire her work. The emotions spill through her like magic as the colors collide on the canvas.

Her main focuses are representational and abstract. Many of her landscapes are done Plein Air, outdoors on location, but additionally, photography is used for in studio work. Primarily working in oils and acrylics, she also enjoys charcoal, graphite, and photography. Experimenting new mediums when the opportunity arises, she is currently learning to paint with pastels, with some success.

In 2014, Nancy received her Associates in Fine Arts at the Santa Fe Community College and has since been taking workshops while painting almost daily. Last year she attended a workshop with Kevin MacPherson, and in 2024 she attended the Scottsdale Artist School for a workshop with Jed Dorsey.

Last year, in 2025, Nancy's painting "Returning to Forever" was selected into a national juried exhibition titled "Dream Works" a show in Tubac, Arizona. Her painting was awarded an honorable mention, an inspiring moment in her career, chosen from over 100 works by 70 different artists.

Currently her work is on display at the Taos Artist Collective and The Sanctuary of Artists, both in Taos NM. She is a member of the Taos Plein Air Painters, Plein Air Painters of New Mexico and Taos Watercolor Society.
