I am an Alumni at Berklee College of Music Boston, MA and have been a musician for many years. I was looking for another way to express myself in the arts and found a passion for painting. I am a self-taught artist. I describe my art as "Modern Abstract" with an emphasis on using geometric shapes to create depth and dimension. I begin by drawing and manipulating shapes and colors until I achieve the desired effect. The technique of creating sharp lines is apparent throughout each piece.
Having a musical background has been my inspiration for several pieces. "Fortissimo" conveys the feeling of a loud, exciting composition while a sense of rhythm is felt by the work "Pulse". I also find inspiration in modern architecture which conveys straight lines and distinct angles.
I find the process of creating art and music gratifying and feel fortunate to be able to do both. I believe The Arts are vital to our society and makes each of our lives richer.
The State Of New Mexico has purchased a few of paintings to add to their permanent collection, part of the "Art in Public Spaces" programs. Other achievements include being published in Art Portfolio Magazine and being chosen by The Billboard Creative which displays artist's work on billboards throughout the Los Angeles area. My work has been displayed in several exhibitions as well as a few local galleries.
